Wikevent:Terms of Use

Jump to: navigation, search

The information contained in Wikevent is free for you to use and redistribute in any way that you like so long as you abide by our license. In general this means that you must credit the work to Wikevent. In practice much of our data is taken from the public domain, and so you might be able to use that data such as individual listings without providing attribution. However we do not require contributors to specify an exact license for individual pieces of content, so you should provide attribution just to be sure.

Contributing

By contributing to this Wiki you agree that your contributions will be licensed under the Creative Commons attribution license version 2.5, and that attribution for your contribution can be given as "Wikevent". This is important: you are granting users of the work the right to use your work so long as they attribute it to this website. We in turn will do our very best to make sure that your contribution is credited to you, in so far as you provide us with information about you to make the attribution. Specifically we'll attribute your "Real Name" if you set it in your preferences. If you don't set a "Real Name" then the attribution will be to your Wikevent or OpenID username.

You must have rights for works you contribute

Simply put, you must have sufficient rights in whatever work you are contributing to grant the license. By making your contribution you are warranting to us that you have this authority. If for some reason it turns out that you do not have the authority to grant the license it means that you have breached this warranty. In that case you are indemnifying Wikevent, and everybody who works for and with it against any liability we might suffer or incur as a result.
