You've probably noticed a new template in use on the which provides a column of Featured Events. You should know that you can put this new template on any Place page, be it city, region, country, or even continent.

So far I've populated the featured events of a particular place using redirects to given events, but in the future my intention is to create an automated way to feature a given event for a given place. As it is, creating a set of featured events is another good way to help Wikevent.
