I've just pushed a patch for the Event extension which automatically adds crossreferencing redirects of the event for each artist, team, speaker, etc. involved and for the place where the event is occurring. Of course if the event you're adding is already on one of the pages which would otherwise get a cross-reference it isn't added.

It would be great if everybody adding events could keep an eye on this feature for a while to make sure that it doesn't have any unintended consequences. Thanks!

So let's face it. My funny little notion that every undertaking is an art, and thus that everybody is an artist is just simply not shared by the rest of the world. That means that new contributors seem to be confused by the prospect of using the UNIQ6f8ced7fee4af4a-nowiki-00000007-QINU tag for teams, players, speakers, and organisers. So I've just added a patch making each of these an alias for artist. We can now use UNIQ6f8ced7fee4af4a-nowiki-00000008-QINU interchangably.
