Local quartet A TUNDRA headline our first show of the new year, playing discordant, experimental indie pop. The group will be playing as a trio for this performance, a configuration that purportedly finds them focusing more heavily on keyboards and, potentially, laptop. BRILLIANT PEBBLES have been turning heads as of late and they'll play second here. The group references a wide range of music - everything from disco, prog, psych and punk - and do so in a way that comes across as inherent and assured. THE ZOO WHEEL is the solo project of Liz Payne, known for her role in acoustic minimalist band TOWN AND COUNTRY and frequent improvisational performances with Ken Vandermark and Ben Vida, among others.
