The World Music Festival continues, within the context of our 'free Monday' series. Iran's 127 BAND melds alternative rock with elements of jazz and traditional Iranian music. Working in a creatively repressive, tumultuous environment, the bilingual 127 explore both the fears and hopes of a confused generation living in a troubling world. Though incapable of releasing records in their own country, 127 has recorded three full-lengths and shows no signs of slowing down.
